In 2014, the “Girls Got Game” initiative was launched by the Victorian Junior Basketball League in conjunction with Basketball Victoria, with the goal to encourage girls to participate in basketball.
The Panthers Basketball Club joined this initiative to drive the creation of a girl’s-only competition. In July 2014, to get behind this initiative, the Panthers Basketball Club purchased colored basketball uniforms for girls, provided by TWP.
This resulted in a fantastic experience with TWP due to the quality of the uniforms, the colour selection available and the professional look of the uniforms.
TWP provided a wide range of colours, a quick order turnaround and the final results were amazing. The club feels that the uniforms were of top quality and came in very fantastic colors.
The Panthers Basketball Club aims to have minimum of two teams in every age group in the BMBA in the future. Another goal of this club is to ensure the viability of the girls’ competition from U10 and through to women’s. Dionne Heafield as President and the Panther’s committee hopes to achieve these goals in the near future. As the uniform experience with TWP was so good, the club expects that this collaboration will continue and that TWP will be the provider of all Panthers Basketball Club basketball uniforms in the future.
